Emergency Electrician Cork

24/7 electrical help when the job cannot wait

If power is gone, a fuse board is acting up, wiring looks unsafe or you can smell burning, do not leave it until morning. 021 Electrician helps Cork homes and businesses with urgent electrical faults, safe checks and clear next steps.

Electrical emergencies are stressful because you cannot always see what is wrong. The safest answer is a qualified electrician who can isolate the fault, test the affected circuit and explain what needs to happen before the power goes back on.

Fast Help, Safe Work

Urgent electrical faults need calm, tidy fault finding.

A rushed guess can miss the real problem. So, the first job is to make the area safe, ask what happened, check the board and test the likely fault path.

After that, the electrician can explain whether you need a repair, a replacement part, further testing or a planned follow-up. That keeps the job clear and keeps the property safer.

What counts as an electrical emergency?

If there is a risk of shock, fire, damage or loss of power to important equipment, it is worth ringing for advice straight away.

Power

Power gone in your property

If the neighbours still have power, there may be a fault in your board, wiring or incoming setup.

Safety

Burning smell, heat or sparks

These signs need quick attention. Keep away from the source and avoid using the affected socket or circuit.

Board

Fuse board problems

Repeated tripping, buzzing, heat or damaged breakers can point to a fault that needs proper testing.

Weather

Storm or water damage

Water and electricity do not mix. If water has reached fittings, cables or boards, keep clear and call for help.

Business

Commercial power faults

Shops, offices and workshops need faults checked properly before staff, customers or equipment go back near them.

Home

Unsafe sockets or lights

Cracked sockets, loose fittings, flickering lights and warm switches should not be ignored, especially in older homes.

What happens when you call?

You do not need to know the technical answer before you ring. A clear description of what you saw, heard or smelled is enough to start.

Tell us what happened

Say when the fault started, what stopped working and whether you noticed heat, noise, smoke, water or sparks.

Get safety advice

The team can tell you what to avoid and whether to keep clear of a board, socket, appliance or wet area.

Book the call-out

Then, you can confirm the address, access details, contact number and any urgent site information.

Fault finding on site

The electrician checks the affected area, isolates unsafe parts and tests the circuit before repair work begins.

Repair and handover

After the work, you get a clear explanation of what failed, what changed and what to watch for next.

Before Help Arrives

Do not take chances with live electrics.

If you smell burning, see smoke, notice exposed wiring or find water near electrics, keep people away from the area. Switch off the power only if you can do it safely without touching damaged equipment.

Huge thanks to Brian at 021 Electrician. We lost power to our sockets late on a Sunday night when the RCD tripped and seemed totally jammed. I rang the 24 hr emergency number and Brian answered the call straightaway. I explained my issue and he asked for a few photos of the fuse board and patiently talked me through how to safely get the switch back up and test the circuits. He even stayed online until we had everything working perfectly again. It is so rare to find a tradesman that responsive and genuinely helpful late on a weekend. Absolutely top-class service, I highly recommend him to anyone around East Cork.

A trip switch went off on Sunday night around midnight. All lights went out & burglar alarm went off. I tried to turn on relevant trip switch but it would not turn back on. I had to do something as next door neighbour had leaving cert exam next day. I knew it would be expensive to get an electrician in an emergency but had no choice. I googled “electrician cork emergency”. The first 24 hour service number I rang just rang out & nobody rang back. The second number I rang was 021 Electrician and Brian answered within a few rings. I explained problem & he said that if he had to call out he would have to charge so he would talk me through fix. First suggestion did not work so Brian kept going with more suggestions until lights came back on & alarm went off. I was very thankful & insisted on paying but Brian would not take any money. Unbelievable service!! I will definitely use 021 Electrician in future
